Lucille Joan Davis Bell, 75, of Avon Lake passed away Wednesday, December 18 following a lengthy illness. She was born January 17, 1927 in New York and moved to Avon Lake four years ago coming from San Antonio, Texas and the Cincinnati area. She was an alumnus of the Hunter College, New York and the University of Cincinnati. Mrs. Bell was a retired public educator in Hamilton and Montgomery counties. She was the former president of the American Association of University Women in San Antonio, Texas. She was a member of the Lively Avon Lacer's and the LakeShore Women's Club. She was an avid painter and lover of the arts, music, and enjoyed animals, swimming and the water.
