Alma Jean Wyatt, 71, Loved gardening, baking, quilting,and reading

Alma Jean Wyatt, age, 71 of Eaton Township passed away, Tuesday December 17, 2002 at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain, following a lengthy illness. She was born Friday April 3, 1931 in New Martinsville, West Virginia, living in Eaton Township for over 40 years.

She was a member of the North Eaton Christian Church (Disciples), and the Ladies Fellowship Group. Mrs. Wyatt was a homemaker, and she loved gardening, canning, baking, quilting and reading.

She is survived by four sons: Stanley Wyatt of Elyria, Ohio, Dale Wyatt of Cleveland, Texas, Ernie Wyatt of Lorain, Ohio and Rick Wyatt of Elyria, Ohio; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; six sisters: Vesta Weaver of Virginia, Virgia Titus of Wierton, West Virginia, Mavis Goontz of West Virginia, Margaret Schroeder of Elyria, Ohio, Carol Fordice of West Virginia, Sharon Bragg of West Virginia; three brothers: Merlin Mayfield of Warren, Ohio, Donald Mayfield of Pennsylvania, Edwin Mayfield of West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley in 2000; one daughter Esta Jean, one great granddaughter, Ciana Taylor, one sister and one brother.

Friends may call in the Blackburn Funeral Home, 1021 Main St. Grafton, Friday December 20, 2002 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm with funeral services Saturday December 21, 2002 at 10:00 am with Dr. Paul Durbin, pastor, of North Eaton Christian Church (Disciples) officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon, Ohio.
