Deborah K. Thompson, 72, Enjoyed Spending Time With Her Grandchildren

She was born July 11, 1952 in Elyria to Ralph & Ida Ledyard (nee Bozman).
She graduated from Elyria High School in 1970.
Debbie worked at Zayre Department Store in Elyria for many years, was a medical receptionist for Dr Lisi for 15 years and a teacher’s assistant at Murray Ridge School for 10 years.
She enjoyed her grandchildren and casino gambling.
She is survived by her daughters Jan Thompson (Chris Carter) and Shelly Zakrajsek (Rick); grandchildren Leah Jackson, Jordan Zakrajsek & Justin Zakrajsek and brother Randy Ledyard (Kathy). She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years James Thompson in 2018, her parents, sister Deanna Summers and brothers Jeff & Eugene Ledyard.
Cremation will take place and Debbie’s ashes will be interred along with her husband Jim’s ashes at a private family gathering at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
