Theresa Tomaszewski, 98, Will Be Dearly Missed
Theresa Tomaszewski (nee Kosakowski), 98, of Lorain, died Saturday May 10, 2025 while surrounded by her family at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake after a long illness.
She was born December 3, 1926 in Lorain to Stanley & Sophie Kosakowski (nee Kunkel) and had been a lifelong Lorain resident.
Theresa was a member of St Peter Parish and the former St Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lorain.
She is survived by her children: Debra Montes (Jose) & Michael Tomaszewski; grandchildren Matthew Montes (Clare) and Joshua Montes (Jane) and great grandchildren Selena, Dominic, Luca & Javier. She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Tomaszewski in 1984, son Kenneth Tomaszewski in 1979, her parents, brothers Philip, Carl, Eddie & John Kosakowski and sisters Frances Kovach, Stella Mihalic, Mary Ann Jessel, Elizabeth Heider & Helen Olexa.
The family will receive friends Friday May 16, 2025 from 11:30 am until the time of the mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm at St Peter Parish, 3501 Oberlin Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Craig Hovanec, pastor, will preside. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
Memorial contributions can be made to St Peter Parish or Hospice of the Western Reserve.
