Richard A. Clark, 69, Enjoyed Listening to Music

Rich was born in Lorain and graduated from Admiral King High School He went on to attend Kent State University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree.
He found enjoyment in listening to all genres of music but possessed a special fondness for Rhythm and Blues. There was also a special place in his heart for his pet cats and he was well known for his willingness to address the needs of any neighborhood stray who stopped by for a periodic visit. Additional hobbies included playing poker and testing his luck during visits to the Hollywood Casino in Toledo. Rich was also an ardent fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes as well as all three of Cleveland professional sports franchises.
He is survived by his brother Charles Clark of Lorain along with sisters Esther Sakowski and Linda Calvert of Lorain, and Phyllis Dunn of Crestwood, Kentucky. Other survivors include sisters-in-law Diane Clark and Deborah Perry both of Lorain, daughter Mandy Flagg and grandchildren Chloe, Olivia, and Bobby Flagg all of Toledo, and long-time best friend Dan Van of Elyria.
Rich was preceded in death by his wife Debra Kay Clark (nee Ostrander), son-in-law Robert Flagg, father Harry W. Clark, mother Ruth Shirley Clark (nee Moore), brothers Don, Dave Jim, Dale, John, Ken, and Harry, sister Sandra, father-in-law Robert Nichols, and mother-in-law Shirley Nichols (nee Meeker).
Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 6:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Reverend Danny Parsons will officiate. Cremation will follow.
