Ruth Ann Hall, 72, Enjoyed Baking and Cooking
Ruth Ann Hall, 72, of Lorain, died peacefully on Tuesday February 11, 2025 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born July 16, 1952 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania and had resided in Lorain most of her life.
Ruth Ann graduated from Clearview High School in 1970. She took culinary arts classes at the Ohio School of Culinary Arts.
For many years, Ruth Ann tended bar at Johnny K’s Tavern in Amherst and the Amherst Eagles and was known for her stories and smile. She enjoyed baking and cooking.
She is survived by her sons: Joe Hall (Courtney) and Jeremiah Hall; grandson Kyler Hall, brother Russ Burkey, sister Helen Fike and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her companion of 26 years Patrick DeLeonardis in 2024, mother & stepfather Mary & James Burkey and brother Vernon “Buster” Fike.
The family will receive friends Friday February 14, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Saturday February 15, 2025 at 11:00 am in the funeral chapel. The Rev Danny Parsons will preside. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst.
