Lucille M. DeGenaro, 98, Will Be Dearly Missed

She was born June 11, 1926 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain resident.

Lu graduated from Lorain High School. She worked the Lorain County Administration Building in the Probate Court office and was awarded a certificate for monitoring the Probate Court guardianship program.

Lu was very active at the Italian-American Veterans Post #1 in Lorain where she held many offices in the IAV Ladies Auxiliary and regularly helped with the monthly spaghetti dinner. In 2009, she was awarded a certificate of appreciation for 55 years of service with the ladies auxiliary. She was a member of St Peter Parish in Lorain.

She is survived by her daughters Mary Lou Haas and Jean DeGenaro and was blessed with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Phyllis DeGenaro on 04/03/2022, her parents Antonio & Marie Mercurio (nee Golini) and 5 sibings.

Private family services will be held.
