Heidi Garnek, 60, Enjoyed Making Candles and Solving Crossword Puzzles
Heidi Garnek (nee Sirl), age 60, of Norwalk, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday September 4, 2016 at the University of Toledo Medical Center.She was born in Bay Village on April 27, 1956 and had been a resident of Norwalk for the past four years; she had previously resided in Wakeman.
Heidi enjoyed making candles, solving crossword puzzles, and working with all forms of crafts in her free time.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years Dale W. Garnek, along with her brother Charles A. “Charlie” Sirl of Chula Vista, California and sister Robin Sirl of Tiro, Ohio. Additional survivors include step-sisters Laurie Guffey and Judy Ebeling both of Groton, Connecticut, three nieces, and one nephew.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel – 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel. Reverend Bob Eddy will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
