Fannie Beca, 90, Fabulous Baker and Cook

Photo of Fannie Beca Fannie Beca (née Radik) 90 of Lorain fell asleep in the Lord Sunday, September 4, 2016 in Anchor Lodge Skilled Nursing Facility, Lorain after an lengthy illness.

She was born February 7, 1926 in Lorain. She and her late husband Paul lived in Tampa, Florida for 4 year before returning home to Lorain.

Fannie retired from The May Co. in Sheffield in 1980, there for over 20 years. During World War II she worked for former National Tube, Co., Lorain.

Fannie was a member of St. Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Lorain. She was a member of the church’s Sisterhood and sang in the choir. She was a fabulous baker and cook. She enjoyed cultivating her vegetable and flower gardens.

She will be deeply missed by her son Thomas Klinar of Lorain and her daughter Diane Simpson of Grand Bay, Alabama; grandchildren Shawn and Christine Simpson.

Fannie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years Paul Beca in 2011.

Her family will receive friend Thursday, September 8, from 4 to 8 PM in Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South. Lorain. Parastas service will be 7 PM. Her funeral service will be in the funeral home Friday at 10 AM. Rev. Father Dmitri Belenki, Pastor of St. Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Lorain will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
