Richard H. Newbrough, 65, U.S. Army Veteran

Mr. Newbrough was born in Lorain on December 7, 1950, the son of Lawrence H. Newbrough of Lorain and the late Virginia E. (nee Richard) Newbrough. He was a 1969 graduate of Admiral King High School. He was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War: stationed in Vietnam from 1970-1971. He received
the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Army Commendation Medal.
Mr. Newbrough has worked as a mill wright at US Steel in Lorain and the Navistar Company in Dayton.
He was a member of the VFW, Amvets, Slovenian Club, Croatian Club, Eagles and several other fraternal and services organizations. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and boating.
Mr. Newbrough is survived by his wife Dianna G. (nee Glanville) Newbrough of Newnan, GA, a daughter Shanna R. (Richard) Dennis of Avon Lake, grandchildren Caeden Olivencia, Maegan Dennis, Madelyn Dennis, Camden Dennis, his father and his sister Dana L Szucs of Lorain.
Friends may call Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 12, 2016 in the First Congregational Church, 423 Washington Ave, Lorain beginning at 10:30 am with Rev. Jimmy Madsen, pastor of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon with full military honors provided by D.A.V. Louis Proy Post # 20.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the First Lutheran Church-Building Fund, 603 Washington Ave, Lorain, OH 44052.
