Mary Lee Royster, 69, Enjoyed Socializing with Family, Friends and Neighbors

Photo of Mary Lee Royster Our beloved Mary Lee Royster (née Schaffer), of Lorain, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly at her residence on Wednesday August 31, 2016 at the age of 69.

Mary was born December 26, 1946 in Lorain to Leonard and Clara Schaffer (née Wilber). After high school Mary received her Cosmetology Degree and enjoyed cutting and styling hair for family and friends for years. Mary, very much enjoyed gardening, taking walks every day, socializing with family, friends and neighbors, keeping up with current news and spending time with her precious dog that she adored Snowball.

Mary will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 33 years J. D. Royster, son Malcom and his wife Krista Zirkle of Kentucky, step daughter Barbara Patterson of Lorain, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, siblings Brenda Schaffer, Shirley Schaffer, Lorelei Schaffer, Kathy Beddingfield, Richard, Charles and Lonnie Schaffer all of Ohio and Linda Orr Leland Schaffer of Pennsylvania, along with a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Leonard Schaffer in 2003 and Clara Schaffer in 2007 along with two brothers Leonard Schaffer Jr. and James Schaffer.

Her family will receive friends Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 4 to 8 PM. at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Her funeral service will be on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. With the Rev. Lorry Bandagski, Pastor of Bethel Chapel, Lorain officiating. Burial will follow in
Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
