Janet M. Brosky, 71, Enjoyed League Bowling and Golf

Janet was born in Lorain on September 2, 1944 and was a 1962 graduate of Lorain High School . She later completed training to become an x-ray technician. Following her certification, she worked in the radiology department at St. Rita’s Hospital near Ada , Ohio for five years.
Janet was a member and former officer of the Lakeland Women’s Club as well as a longtime member of the Colony Women’s Club. She was active with the Firelands Council of the Boy Scouts of America and formerly served as a Cub Scout den mother.
A parishioner of Nativity BVM Catholic Church in Lorain , she enjoyed league bowling at Rebman’s Recreation. Janet also liked golf and was a member of the Catawba Willows Golf Club.
A member of the Ohio Ramblers, Janet enjoyed camping as well as taking ocean cruises, and all other forms of travel. She also liked pleasure boating and was a member of the Sandusky Yacht Club.
She is survived by sons Michael (Heidi), Kevin (Michele), and Keith (Brandi) as well as by her daughter Beth Ann Ellis. She also leaves twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and her brother Walter Short Jones (Emily). Janet was preceded in death by her husband Robert, by her parents Earl and Shirley (nee Coleman) Jones, and by her brother James Jones.
Visitation will be Tuesday August 9th from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue , Lorain. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday August 10th at 10:00 a.m. in Nativity BVM Catholic Church 1454 Lexington Avenue , Lorain. (Please meet at church.) Reverend Robert Glepko, pastor of the parish will serve as celebrant.
