Marion Hope Sopko, (nee Webb) age 67, of Lorain, passed away at Mercy Regional Medical Center on the evening of Tuesday August 2, 2016.She was born in West Virginia on June 11, 1949 and had been a resident of Lorain for the past eleven years coming from Sheffield Lake.
Hope had been employed as an inspector for the Lear-Romec & Crane Aerospace & Electronics Corporation in Elyria prior to her retirement. She had previously worked in the same capacity at Parker-Hannifin Corporation.
In her free time she enjoyed reading works of fiction and non-fiction. She was also an accomplished rose gardener who liked cats and dogs as well as watching television documentaries.
Survivors include sisters Charity Bedo and Faith Kemp both of Lorain, and brother Aaron Webb of Louisville, Kentucky. She also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Hope was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Marie (nee Miller) Webb, brothers Walter, Warren, and John, and by her niece Lisa Marie Webb.
The date and time of a family memorial service will be announced at a future date.
