Lillibeth Wood, 83, Accomplished Organist and Pianist

Mrs. Wood was born in Lorain on May 24, 1933, the daughter of the late Walter J. and Isabelle L (nee Borthwick) Glick. She was a graduate of Lorain High School, Class of 1950.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Wellington; where she served as organist for 14 years. After leaving Wellington in 1988, she attended the Lorain Christian Temple Disciples of Christ Church, the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Lorain, and St. Peters UCC in Amherst; singing in the choirs and serving on the Altar Guilds;
Mrs. Wood was an accomplished organist and pianist. She taught both for over 25 years, influencing the musical careers of many talented students.
She is survived by daughters Nancy and husband Gene Schlank of Burke, VA, Susan and husband Dan Stanger also of Burke, VA, sons John and wife Diana Wood of Cincinnati, OH, Dan and wife Judy Wood of Virginia Beach, VA, Tom and wife Donna Wood of Tampa, FL, and Rob and wife Bobbijean Wood of Perrysburg, OH; grandchildren Katie Wood, Megan Wood, Joseph Wood, Matthew Wood, Mallory Wood, Seth Wood, Ashley Behrend, Holly Stanger, Kelly Stanger, and Andrew Stanger; and great grandchildren, Ella Behrend and Connor Behrend.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Mayo Wood on Nov. 10, 1987, brothers Walter and Jack; and sisters Noreen Davidson and Dorothy Schneider.
Graveside Services will be Monday at 10:30 am in the Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington, with Rev. David R. Trask, pastor of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, officiating.
