Chester S. Bialorucki, 92, U.S. Navy Veteran

He was born December 15, 1923 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.
Chet graduated from Lorain High School 1942 B class and then served with the US Navy during World War II as an Engineman Second Class. He served aboard the USS Moale, USS Pirate, USS Mainstay and the USS ATR 98. He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal, the European-African Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and American Area Campaign Medal.
He worked at the General Motors Fisher Body Plant in Elyria as a Tool & Die Maker retiring in 1985. He also was an Insurance Agent for the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America.
Chet was a member and past president of the United Polish Club in Lorain and a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Lorain. He enjoyed bowling and bowled in the Kings & Queens League and UPC League in Lorain. He enjoyed making his own polish sausage, kielbasa and bread.
He is survived by his children: Mary Jo LaLonde (David) of Berea, John Bialorucki (Sue) of Sandusky, Joyce Berner (Rusty) of Avon Lake, Kathy Chopcinski (Gary) of North Ridgeville and Helen Taylor (Tom) of Columbus; 17 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Eleanor Bialorucki (nee Smith) in 1986, second wife Virginia Gerbick-Bialorucki in 1991, third wife Theresa Tess Albright-Bialorucki in 2013; granddaughter Rebecca Berner in 1986; parents John & Mary Bialorucki; brothers Walter & Louis Bialorucki and Frank Bailey and sister Rose Hreha.
The family will receive friends Sunday July 24th from 4:00 8:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Monday July 25th at 11:00 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 1454 Lexington Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Gerald Keller will preside. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain where the Disabled American Veterans Louis Paul Proy Chapter # 20 of Lorain will conduct military honors.
