Vera L. Vucic, 91, Enjoyed Oil Painting and Knitting

She was born March 22, 1925 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident. She was a resident at Avon Oaks since May of 2007 where she received excellent care.

Vera graduated from Lorain High School Class of 1944A. She attended Lorain County Community College in Elyria.

Vera worked as a clerk at US Steel in Lorain for 42 years retiring in 1986.

She was a lifelong member of St. Vitus Catholic Church in Lorain where she sang in the church choir.

Vera enjoyed egg art, oil painting, knitting and making Christmas ornaments.

She is survived by her sisters Karol Teaman (Dick) of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida and Catherine Luczkowski of Sheffield Village; three nieces and four nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Vucic (nee Pecaric) and brother Drago Vucic.

The family will receive friends Wednesday July 20th from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 2143 Homewood Dr, Lorain. The mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am with the Rev. John Retar, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
