Barbara J. Zilko, 73, Enjoyed Origami and Jewelry Making
Barbara J. Zilko (nee Endrizal), age 73, of Lorain, passed away on the morning of Monday May 23rd, 2016.She was born in Lorain on July 24, 1942 to the late John and Catherine (nee Ferenchak) Endrizal.
A graduate of Lorain High School, Barb worked in a variety of positions throughout Lorain including administrative secretary and assistant to Ted Jacobs and, later, to Leo Weingarten. She then worked for the Zelek Flower Shop and most recently enjoyed her position as Collections Manager at the Lorain Historical Society.
Barbara was dedicated to helping others with her artistic talents including origami and jewelry making. Additional interests included flower gardening, solving puzzles, and reading with a special interest in mysteries.
Survivors include her son Christopher, brother Joseph (Ellen) Endrizal, many nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Stephen in 2010.
Private services will take place under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel in Calvary Cemetery.
