Dorothy M. Maruschak, 69, Enjoyed Crossword Puzzles

She was born October 13, 1946 in Shenandoah, Virginia and had resided in Sheffield Township since 1976 moving from Lorain.

Dottie graduated from Lorain High School in 1964. She worked as an investigator for the Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA) before retiring. Prior to that, she worked in the trust department at Central Trust bank.

Dottie was a member of Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church where she sang in the church choir.

Dottie enjoyed crossword puzzles, Suduko puzzles and crocheting. She especially enjoyed spending time with her husband Tom and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years Thomas Maruschak; son Scott (Lori) Thompson; stepsons: William Maruschak and David (Karen) Lunsford; grandchildren: Monica, Stephen, Lorna, Diana, Brenda, Katrina, Clara & Hanna Thompson, Allan and Christopher Maruschak, Tommy Good and Cassie Huizar; sisters: Glenna Cheadle and Alpha Moser (Earl) and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her son Michael Maruschak in 2011 and parents Harry & Arbutus Baker (nee Dellinger).

The family will receive friends Thursday May 26, 2016 from 4:00 pm until the time of memorial services at 6:00 pm at Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Chuck Boals, chaplain of Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church, will officiate. Private burial will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
