Diana L. Malinowsky, 53, Enjoyed Travel

Photo of Diana L. Malinowsky Diana L. Malinowsky, (nee Kallas), age 53, of Sheffield Township, passed away on the morning of April 30, 2016 due to complications of recently-diagnosed Multiple Sclerosis.

Born in Lorain on June 28, 1962, Diana was active as a youth with the Girl Scouts. She later graduated from Southview High School as a member of the Class of 1980.

Diana was, most recently employed as a logistics agent for Travel Centers of America; she had previously worked for more than twenty years as a truck driver including a number of years over-the-road.

Living her life by the mantra Always and Forever, she enjoyed travel and held the recognition of visiting forty-nine of our fifty states. In her free time she also enjoyed crocheting, cats, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son Matt (Latisha) Malinowsky of Lorain, and daughter Kelly (Robert) Raymond of Upper Sandusky. In addition, she leaves her granddaughter Kaylie Malinowsky of Lorain, father Harry Kallas of Sheffield Township, brother Alan Kallas of Lorain, and sister Donna (Joel) Sinegar of Elyria.

Diana was preceded in death by her mother Delores (nee Harvey) Kallas.

Friends may call in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel on Thursday May 5th from 12:00 noon until the time of memorial services at 1:45 p.m. Burial of Diana’s cremated remains will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park – Amherst Township.

Diana's family wishes to extend its heartfelt gratitude to the staff and caregivers at Avon Oaks Nursing Home for the care they provided during her stay there.
