Holiday (nee Morgan) of Cuyahoga Falls, and formerly of Lorain, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 3, 2016, at the age of 68 after battling a lengthy illness.Cathy was preceded in death by her parents Earl C. and Edith M. Heasley, and brothers Barry E. Morgan and Charles R. Morgan, Jr.

Cathy was born October 22, 1947 in Butler, Pennsylvania to Edith Kellerman and Charles Morgan, Sr. Her family moved to Lorain in 1959 where she graduated from Admiral King High School in 1964. She later attended Lorain County Community College. Cathy was married to Ronald Holiday at the Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Church in 1969 and, together, they raised their two boys in Lorain.
Cathy was a frequent visitor of the American Slovak Club and Mullen-Murray VFW Post 451, where she enjoyed watching Cleveland Browns football games with her family. She also spent many a summer's day at Lakeview Park, picnicking on the shores of Lake Erie. Cathy loved to shop, took great pride in her appearance, and would be the first to admit she never left the house without her make-up, nails, and hair just right!
She enjoyed creating flower arrangements, buying gifts for others, and was extremely creative in her gift wrapping. She worked as a medical secretary for over 15 years at Amherst Hospital; the doctors and nurses there were like family to Cathy, where she was dedicated to her profession and supported the staff with great enthusiasm and joy.
Her family will receive friends on Wednesday April 6th from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Memorial services and committal in Ridge Hill Memorial Park will be scheduled at a later date.
