Betty J. Hennes, 64, Will be Dearly Missed

She was born in Preston, West Virginia on August 28, 1951 and had been a resident of Lorain since her childhood. Betty had been employed as a production assistant at Ford Motor Company’s Lorain Assembly Plant; she had been a long-time member of American Legion Post # 30 of Lorain.

Survivors include her son Robert Lee Risdon, daughters Nancy Mae Breneman & Patricia Ann Newman, and step-sons Robert E. Hennes, Jr., William J. Hennes, and Michael T. Hennes. She also leaves five grandchildren, brothers Richard, John, and Kevin Pyles, sisters Sue Piper, Christine Wooten, Pam Hart, and Joyce Pyles and many nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. “Spike” Hennes, Sr. in 1997, parents John and Nancy (nee McGinnis) Pyles, and sister Ruby Jean Pyles.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain, where funeral services will take place Monday at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Chris Robinson will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
