Wilma Fay Ellison, 86, Enjoyed Camping and Fishing with Family

Photo of Wilma Fay Ellison Wilma Fay Ellison (nee Henes), age 86, of Kipton, passed away peacefully at her residence, surrounded by her loving family, on the afternoon of Saturday February 20th.

Wilma was born in Black River Township on July 12, 1929 and had been a resident of Kipton for the past two years. She had previously resided in both Lorain and Mount Ephriam.

Wilma liked camping and fishing with her family and also enjoyed the companionship of her pet cats and dogs. Her hobbies included crafting, crocheting, quilting, and canning.

She is survived by her daughters Carol Big of Elyria, Frances (Craig) Horvath and Fay (Don) Kiger both of Lorain, and Dottie (Ed) Andolsek of Wakeman. She also leaves her sons Jim (Janice) Ellison of Vermilion, and Chuck Ellison of Lorain along with twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren. Additional survivors include her twin sister Wanda Wilson and sister Janet Sakal both residing in Elyria.

Mrs. Ellison was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Ellison, by her parents Walter and Eunice (nee Norton) Henes, by her great granddaughter Samantha Big, and by brothers Richard and Eugene Henes.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 7:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave. - Lorain. Reverend Bill Dickey, Senior Pastor of the New Beginnings Church of God will officiate.
