William Taylor, 89, U.S. Army Veteran

William "Earl" Taylor, 89, of Avon, Ohio formerly of Hurricane, West Virginia, passed away on Sunday February 14, 2016, in the Mercy-New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain, Ohio, after an extended illness.

Mr. Taylor was born in Huntington on December 18, 1926, the son of the late William M. and Inez V. (nee Young) Taylor. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Germany during WWII. He earned the Army of Occupation Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. He was retired from US Steel in Lorain, where he worked as a loader operator/steel stacker.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Tennessee (nee Kidd) Taylor of Cleveland, Ohio; brother, James "Darrell" Taylor of Hurricane; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Ruby G. (nee Young) Taylor; his sister, Doris F. Daniels; and brothers, Charles M. Taylor, Willis H. Taylor and Henry G. "Teeny'' Taylor.
Graveside service will be held on Monday February 22, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Fraziers Bottom with full military burial honors.
