Shirley Ann Burdue, 78, of Walkerville, Michigan, died on her birthday, February 9, 2016, at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home in Lorain.She was born February 9, 1938 in Washington County, Virginia and had resided in Walkerville, Michigan since 1987 moving from Milan, Ohio to retire with her husband Ralph.
Shirley enjoyed spending her winters in South Texas for the past 20 years, playing slot machines and visiting many casinos across the country.
She is survived by her sons: Mike Burdue of Lorain and Guy Burdue of Castalia, grandchildren Amanda K. Mesenburg of Milan and Melissa A. Roe of Huron and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years Ralph E. Burdue in 1992, companion of 22 years Edward “Sam” Wayman in 2015 and sister Nancy in 1999.
Private family cremation services will be held.
