Geraldine A. Brennen, 89, Loved to Knit and Crochet

Photo of Geraldine A. Brennen Geraldine A. Brennen, 89, (nee Andress) passed away early Thursday morning, Jan 7, 2016 at the Anchor Lodge Nursing Home following a long illness.

Mrs. Brennen was born in Lorain on April 8, 1926, a daughter of the late Howard and Elizabeth (nee Witt) Andress. She was a graduate of Lorain High School, Class of 1944B. She was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lorain.

She worked as a assembly line inserter at the former Lorain Products in Lorain for over 20 years retiring in the early 1990's. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Mrs. Brennen enjoyed taking bus trips, especially the trip when attended the Rosebowl Game. She collected stuffed Teddy Bears. She loved being with her family and knitted and crocheted afghans for several family members.

She is survived by her Daniel D. (Nita) Brennen of Lorain, 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons, Thomas Brennen in 2001, James Brennen in 1999 and sisters Shirley Yeamans and Maxine Hartman.

Graveside services in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst Township are private with Rev. Jimmy Madsen, pastor of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association - Cleveland Area, 23215 Commerce Park Drive, Suite 300, Beachwood, OH 44122.
