Thomas Stitak, Jr., 67, Master Electrician

Photo of Thomas Stitak, Jr. Thomas Stitak, Jr. age 67, of Lorain, passed away on the morning of Saturday December 26, 2015 while a patient at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.

Tom was born in Lorain on May 9, 1948 and remained a life-long resident of the city He was a 1966 graduate of Lorain St. Mary High School and went on to attend the Career Academy in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Tom was employed as a master electrician and had been a member I.B.E.W. Local 129 for the past forty-six years.

He was a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church in Lorain.

Tom was devoted to his five grandchildren Sam Shah, Niel Shah, Elizabeth Stitak, Annabel Stitak, and Tommy Stitak and enjoyed spending as much time as he could with each of them.

He is survived by his wife of forty-six years Joyce (nee Seck), by daughters Tracey Shah of Sharon, Massachusetts, and Trina Stitak, residing at Madonna House in Roanoke, Virginia. In addition, Tom leaves his son Thomas A. Stitak (Kathie) of Mason, Ohio along with brothers Kevin Stitak (Cathleen) and Kurt Stitak (Mary Jo) both of Lorain, and daughter Veletta Tusa residing in Bradenton, Florida.

He was preceded in death by twin daughters in infancy, by his mother Jean (nee Knight) in 2002, and by his father Thomas Stitak, Sr. in 2003.

Visitation will be Wednesday December 30th in St. Mary Catholic Church (Corner of Eight & Reid) from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Daniel O. Divis, pastor of the parish will officiate. Burial will take place later in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.

In lieu of flowers, Tom’s family encourages memorial contributions to either St. Mary Catholic Church – 309 7th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052 or to Madonna House – 2888 Dafoe Road RR2, Combermere, Ontario KOJ1LO.
