Robert C. Sclesky, 77, US Air Force Veteran

He was born in Elmora, PA, and had lived in Sandusky before moving to North Ridgeville in 1976.
Bob was a United State Air Force veteran, and a member of the St. Peter Church, where is sang in the Choir, UAW Local 2000 and the Knights of Columbus Council 7970.

Robert loved his children, grandchildren, and spending time with them. Bob enjoyed wood working, working in his garage and yard, making stained glass. He was passionate about fixing just about everything, and was the ultimate handyman, king of tinkering and the MacGyver of mechanics.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy “Elaine” Sclesky of North Ridgeville; children Shari (John) Murray of North Ridgeville, Barb (Tom) Gannon of North Ridgeville, Charles (Stacy) Sclesky of North Olmsted; grandchildren, Jeremy Kinkopf, Joshua Hudson, Nikki, Bailey, Tyler, and Riley Gannon, Conor and Cole Sclesky; sibling, Evelyn Lamont of Emporium, PA, Judy (Jim) Weakland of Bedford, Anthony (Colleen) Sclesky of Carrolltown, PA, Cecelia Barrett of Carrolltown, PA.He was preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Eva (nee Jancie) Sclesky; son, Andy Sclesky; siblings, Richard Sclesky and Edith Zawiskie.

Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where the Knights of Columbus will recite a rosary at 7 PM. Prayers will begin at the funeral home Thursday at 9:30 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Peter Church 35777 Center Ridge Rd. North Ridgeville, OH 44039. Fr. Bob Sanson will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery, N. Ridgeville, where the VFW Post 9871 will conduct full military honors.
