Nancy R. Bevan, 90, Devoted Church Member

Mrs. Bevan was born in Lorain on January 1, 1925, the daughter of the late George J. and Gizella "Grace" Chapin Pataky. She was a graduate of Lorain HS Class-1942B.
She was a devoted member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Lorain. She had served on the Service Guild (past president), Episcopal Church Women (past president), choir member for 50 years, Redeemer Guild, and the Needlepoint Committee. She will be remembered for the many paprikash dinners she prepared for the Church's fundraisers.
Mrs. Bevan had worked as an inspector at General Industries in Elyria and Neisner's in Lorain.
She was a member of the 400 Investment Club, served as a Den Mother to Boy Scout Pack 336 and was active in Girl Scouts. She enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Bevan is survived by a daughter Alice E. (Dennis) Ginley, of Avon, sons Norman G. Bevan (Jane Schaefer) of Oberlin, and Bruce J. Bevan (LuAnn DiGiandomenico), of Amherst, grandchildren: Tricia L. Farr, Alex S. Bevan Sr., John W. Bevan, Rene E. Bevan, Shamus A. Ginley, great grandchildren: Mitchell, Weston, and Trinity Farr, Alex Bevan Jr., sisters Emma Fischer of Lorain; Valeria Holdren of Elyria, Rosemary Kennedy of North Ridgeville, brothers Steve Pataky of North Ridgeville; John Pataky of Lorain and several nieces and nephews and special friends, Harrison and Glenna Baumbaugh and their daughters Christine, Carolyn and Susanne.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Albert W. Bevan in 1991, sisters Emma Pataky in infancy, Elvira Pataky, brothers George Pataky and Joseph Pataky.
Friends may call on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 11 am in the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 647 Reid Ave., Lorain with Rev. Mary Carson, rector, officiating.
Burial will be in the Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
