Seymour R. Owens, 69, US Army Veteran
Seymour R. "Baba" Owens, 69, of Lorain passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain, surrounded by his family, following a brief illness,Mr. Owens was born in Harlan, KY on March 1, 1946, the son of the late Edward and Myrtle (nee King) Owens. He was a graduate of Cawood High School in Cawood, KY.
He was a veteran of the US Army. He retired from Ford Motor Co in June 2000 following more than 32 years service in both the Lorain Plant and the Kentucky Truck Plant.
Mr. Owens' world, following his retirement was being surrounded by his loving family. He cherished every moment that he could spend with his daughters, sons-in-law and especially his grandchildren. His world revolved around them and their activities. He loved them dearly.
He is survived by his wife Candyce L. (nee DoBrunz) Owens daughters, Jodi L. (Bryan) Glick of Lorain,
Jeni L. (Joshua) Thornsberry, all of Lorain, his grandchildren, Brody Glick, Hunter Thornsberry, Karli Glick, sisters Daisy, Jackie, Millie, Janet, Georgia, and Eva.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Frank, Hayward, Charles, and James.
Friends may call on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.
