Ann Crnko, 93, Owned Pat-Ann's Hair Salon in Avon
Ann Crnko (nee Mateskovich), 93, of Lorain, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Tuesday November 17, 2015.
She happily spent her last 3 � years living at Avon Oaks Caring Community.
Ann owned and operated Pat-Ann’s Hair Salon in Avon from July 1965 until her retirement in 1986.
She was a member of St. Vitus Croatian Catholic Church, St. Peter Parish and the Croatian Club, all of Lorain; Croatian Fraternal Union #136 and Croatian Catholic Union #17.
Ann was very devoted to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family was the joy of her life.
She is survived by her children Patricia (John) DiFrancesco of Lincoln Park, Michigan, Robert (Lynn) Crnko of Amherst, Donna Clark (companion Tom Matotek) of Lorain, Cindy (Carl) Werner of Lorain and Catherine (Ritchie) Basala of Dearborn, Michigan; sister Mildred Bozicevich of Lorain; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Joseph Crnko in 2004, parents Frank & Katherine Mateskovich (nee Matotek), granddaughter Jennifer Clark and son-in-law Ken Trent.
The family will receive friends Friday 4:00-8:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain and Saturday from 10:30 am – 11:00 am at St. Peter Parish, 3501 Oberlin Ave, Lorain. The mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am in the church with the Rev. Craig Hovanec, pastor, officiating. Cremation will follow and the ashes will be interred at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
