Irene S. Luczkowski, 90, Enjoyed Needlepoint and Crocheting

She was born in Lorain on May 28, 1925 and remained a life-long resident of the city. Irene was a 1943-B graduate of Lorain High School.
She was employed as the coffee shop manager at the J.C. Penney Department Store located in Midway Mall for twenty years. She retired in 1983.
Irene was a long-time parishioner of the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and had been active with the Altar & Rosary Society there. She currently attended St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish.
In her free time she enjoyed needlepoint and crocheting. She also liked all forms of crafts with a special interest in ceramics.
Survivors include her son Dale (Kathryn) Luczkowski of Lorain, and daughters Georgeann (Paul) Burrelli of Lorain and Cindy (Dennis) Grove residing in Raleigh, North Carolina. She also leaves five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Curly Luczkowski in 2014, by her parents George and Stella (nee Nowicki) Olszak, and by sisters Josephine Miller and Florence Twaro.
Friends may call on Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will begin there at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. in St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish 2143 Homewood Drive. Reverend Donald Dunson will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
