Calvin Seger, 87, National Gypsum Retiree

Calvin Seger, age 87, of Lorain, passed away on the evening of Monday November 9, 2015 at Elms Retirement Village in Wellington.

He was born in Windber, Pennsylvania on January 11, 1928 and had been a resident of Lorain since 1960.

Calvin had been employed as a fork lift operator at National Gypsum Corporation; he retired in 1991 following thirty years of service with the manufacturer.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-five years Margaret (nee Refi), son Larry (Diane) of Wellington, and daughter Connie (Carlos) Padilla of Lorain. He also leaves four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, brother Alfred of Windber, and sister Elizabeth Karalfa also of Windber. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Ida (nee Logue) Seger, by his brother George, and by his sister Alice Farkas.

Graveside services will be conducted and are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel.
