Margaret Karl, 87, Enjoyed Crocheting

Mrs. Karl was born in Goerlitz, West Germany on June 26, 1928 and had been a resident of Lorain since 1967; she had previously resided in Canada.

Margaret was formerly employed as a computer technician in the banking industry.

She liked crocheting in her free time and displayed a passion for nature. She enjoyed plants and flowers as well as feeding wild birds that visited her property. Mrs. Karl also had a love for small animals.

Survivors include her son Frank Karl of Lorain, and siblings Inge Marlde and Rudy Kreutz both residing in Siegen, West Germany. Additional survivors include a host of nieces and nephews along with her canine companion Rex, and feline companions Suzie and Molle.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Gerhard in 2009, by her parents Max and Gertrude Kreutz, and by her sister Hilde Wentzel.

Graveside services for the family will take place in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel.
