Evelyn G. Sosinski, 95, Avid Cleveland Sports Fan
Evelyn G. “Evie” Sosinski (nee Hartley), 95, of Lorain, died Friday October 2, 2015 at the Elmcroft of Lorain while under the care of Crossroads Hospice.
She was born July 10, 1920 in Elyria and had resided in Lorain most of her life
Evie worked in housekeeping at Longfellow Elementary School in Lorain. She was an avid fan of Cleveland sports teams and enjoyed watching sports on television.
She is survived by her children Marvin Sosinski (Delma), James G. Sosinski and Nancee Rodriguez (John), all of Lorain, grandchildren Jack, Joe, David, Jimmy and Angela Sosinski and John and Tony Rodriguez, 12 great grandchildren, niece Laurel Mate (Paul) and nephews Bill Przybylowicz (Barb). She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Sosinski in 1988, parents George & Ada Hartley (nee Carrick), daughter-in-law Dennise Sosinski, sister Rosella Przybylowicz and brother Eugene “Bub” Hartley.
The family will receive friends Monday 4-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 am in the funeral chapel. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
