Marilyn Ann Duskey, 74, Enjoyed Traveling and Casino Trips

She was born October 6, 1940 in Lorain. She attended grades 1 through 8 at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic School and Whittier Junior High in Lorain and graduated from Lorain High School with the Class of 1958 B. She completed a correspondence course for airline stewardesses in Kansas City, Kansas.
Marilyn worked at Andy’s Paint & Wallpaper on 9th Street in Lorain, at St. Joseph Hospital in the Admitting Department, in sales at the May Company, Higbee’s & Dillard’s and as a hostess in the Attic Restaurant at both Higbee’s & Dillard’s. She then worked as a floater for Central Bank in Lorain and later as a teller at the Bank One branch on 21st St in Lorain where she was held up in a robbery. She and her husband Glenn had a booth at Jamie’s Flea Market in South Amherst for almost 10 years. She enjoyed traveling and casino trips.
She is survived by her daughters Sheila Barnick (Mike) of Berea, Corinne Stolitza (Dan) of Valley City and Vanessa Duskey (Mike Summers) of Wakeman, 2 brothers, brother-in-law Steve Simon, niece Lisa Cox and nephew Steve Simon Jr, all of California and 17 maternal first cousins. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years Glenn E. Duskey on September 29, 2012, sister Linda Simon on August 21, 2008 and parents John & Josephine Muha (nee Logar).
The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am at Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Chuck Behrens, chaplain with Hospice of the Western Reserve, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
