Marcia A. Mishak, 78, Enjoyed Baking

She was born July 8, 1937 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.
Marcia graduated from Lorain High School. She worked at Kroger in Lorain in the Health & Beauty Department and as a cashier then at Giant Eagle in Amherst as a cashier. She retired in 1999 having worked for over 30 years at both grocery stores.
Marcia was a member of St. Peter Parish, an avid reader and enjoyed watching her favorite television shows and baking. An avid Cleveland Indians and Omar Vizquel fan, she would bake cookies for him and take them to the dugout when she attended Indians games. She loved her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years John Mishak, children Michael Mishak and Diane Whalen (Mark), all of Lorain, grandchildren Jessica Mishak, Jennifer Mishak, Kristen Whalen, Kassidy Whalen, Nicole Cornwell (Allan) and Mark Whalen, Jr, great grandchildren Anthony Mishak and Audriana Mishak, brother Michael Aquilino of Lorain, sisters Josephine Police of Wadsworth and Elvira Dolly Freese of Palo Alto, California and her best friend Linda Ceol of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her parents Antonio and Marzietta Aquilino (nee DiGiannantonio) and her dog Pepper.
The family will receive friends Monday 4-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Peter Parish, 3655 Oberlin Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Craig Hovanec, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
