Sylvia A. Scislowski, 80, Enjoyed Playing the Piano

She was born in Lorain on July 16, 1935 and remained a life-long resident of the city. Sylvia was a graduate of Lorain High School and went on to attend Lorain Business College.
She had worked in food services at Golden Acres for ten years; previously, she had been employed by DeLuca’s Catering as well as a customer service representative at the Dalton Factory Outlet.
Her hobbies included quilting, sewing, knitting, cooking, and baking. Sylvia’s greatest love of all, however, was playing the piano.
She is survived by daughters Linda Bradley of Lorain, Michele Crnobrnja (Randy) of Amherst, and Amy Baughman (Ken) of Sheffield Village, along with her son Thomas Scislowski of Lorain. She also leaves grandchildren Samantha Clark (Dave), Spencer Bradley, Andrew Crnobrnja (fiancé Stephanie Ogorzaly), Adam Crnobrnja (Courtney King), Cory Baughman (Brittany), Kyle Baughman (fiancé Kelsey Zajac), and Connor Baughman. Additional survivors include great grandchildren Emmett Arthur Clark and Tallulah Sylvie Clark, along with her brother Frank Salek (Gayle) of Avon.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband Ted M. Scislowski in 2004, and by her parents Frank and Anne (nee Chulik) Salek.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3 until 7 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Monday beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel; a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 1305 East Erie Avenue, Lorain. Reverend Donald Dunson will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
