Manuel Antonio Ramos, 86, Enjoyed Gardening
Manuel Antonio Ramos, 86, of Lorain, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 16, 2015 peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
He was born February 6, 1929 in Utuado, Puerto Rico and moved to Lorain in the early 50’s.
Manuel worked at Norfolk and Western and retired in 1992. He enjoyed gardening, watching westerns and spending time with his family. Manuel was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain.
He will be dearly missed by his sons Jose (Tony) Pagan and Gabriel (Michelle) Ramos both of Lorain, Manuel Ramos of Utuado, Puerto Rico, Joseph (Juana) Ramos of Brooklyn, Ohio and Juan (Evelyn) Pagan of Waldorf, Maryland; daughter Guillermina (Richard) Gonzales of Lorain; and many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Manuel was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years Zaida Luz Ramos (Del Campo) in 2011 daughter, Luz Ramos; his parents Manuel and Belen Ramos and several brothers and sisters.
His family will receive friends Friday, July 17, 2015 from 4 to 8 PM at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio. Friends may also call Saturday from 9:00 until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Chapel, 3401 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Rev. William A. Thaden will be the celebrant. The burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
