Edward T. Llyod, 66, Loved fishing and spending time with family

Photo of Edward T. Llyod Edward T. Lloyd, Sr., 66, of Sheffield Lake passed away at his home on Sunday, July 12, 2015, surrounded by his loving family, following a short illness.

Edward was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on November 10, 1948 the son of the late James F. Lloyd and Helen (nee Fisher) Lloyd who survives.

He was a 1966 graduate of Lorain High School and a retiree of US Steel in 2002 following 34 1/2 years of service. He also had worked at Invacare for 8 1/2 years.

Mr. Lloyd was a loyal and faithful member of the Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church.

Ed was an enthusiastic fisherman, especially enjoying his trips to Canada to fish. He loved watching sports, his favorite being the Cavs, playing golf and sitting on the porch feeding and watching the birds. A devout and loving family man, he enjoyed most spending time with his family, especially his two granddaughters.

Edward is survived by his wife of 42 years, Donna L. (nee Govier) Lloyd, son Edward T. (Jeannine nee Panaccione) Lloyd, Jr.., of North Ridgeville, granddaughters, Sophia and Gianna, brothers James A. (Ellen Burge) Lloyd, Ernest W. (Barbara) Lloyd all of Lorain, many nieces, nephews and his brother-in-law Robert Govier of Carlisle, PA.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter Staci L. Lloyd in 2012.

Friends may call on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Greg Sellers, pastor of Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Ridgehill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.

The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church, 3015 Meister Road, Lorain in Ed's memory.
