Bernice Brazina , 100, Member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church
Bernice Brazina, (nee Holiday) age 100, of Lorain, passed away on Monday July 6, 2015. Bernice was born in Slovan, Pennsylvania on April 6, 1915 and had been a long-time resident of Lorain.She was a parishioner of the former Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lorain where she was a member of the Rosary Society and the Mother’s Club.
Mrs. Brazina is survived by her daughter Joyce Urbanic residing in Naples, Florida and by her son Larry Brazina (Sheila) residing in Davenport, Florida. She also leaves grandchildren Seth and Garrett Brazina along with three great grandchildren.
Bernice was preceded in death by her husband Michael in 1974, by her son-in-law Michael Urbanic, by her granddaughter Katie Urbanic-Moore, by her parents Frank and Mary (nee Serwatka) Holiday and by brothers Stanley and Frank Holiday.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 until 7 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday in the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain. (Please meet at church) The Reverend Craig Hovanec, pastor of the parish will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
