Carmelo L. Camera, 89, Will be Dearly Missed

Mr. Camera was born in Lorain on April 17, 1926, a son of the late James and Teresa (nee Panuzzo) Camera. He was a lifelong resident; graduating from Lorain High School in 1944.
He is a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. He was a former member of the Church of St. Peter, sang in the choir and was instrumental on the Building Fund Committee for the construction of the present day Church of St. Peter.
At age 16, he began to work building warships at the shipyard to fulfill his patriotic duties. After that he worked at the former Lorain Creamery, and the American Stove; then began a career scanning over 30 years with the City of Lorain retiring in 1985 as a parks department foreman.
Mr. Camera is survived by his wife Carmela M. (nee Iemma) Camera, sons Charles V. (Kim) Camera, Steven A Camera both of Lorain, his grandchildren Cassandra Baun, Paul Baumert, Vincenzo Camera, Mario Camera and Ariel Camera and great grandchildren Oliver, Liam, and Quinn and a very special nephew Vinny Camera.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son James S. Camera in 2012, brothers Joseph Camera, Jack Camera, Patsy Camera, Frank Camera and James Camera.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. Anthony of Padua Church, at 11:00 am Monday June 22, 2015 with Rev. Don Dunson, celebrating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
