Lillian Marie Aten (n�e Malek), 89, Lifelong and active Lorain resident will be dearly missed
Lillian Marie Aten (née Malek) a lifelong resident of Lorain, Ohio, died the 15th of June at home surrounded by her family, at the age of 89 (1926-2015).
Born in 1926, graduate of Lorain High School Class of 1944 and Lorain Business College, active community and church volunteer, homemaker and caregiver.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, James Fenimore Aten III, her son Jim Aten (Lee Anne), daughter Renée Aten (Charles Patti), daughter Kimberly Dolan (David), and grandchildren Aaron, Andrew, Emily, and Amanda Aten. She also is survived by two brothers, Edward Malek (Ernestine) and Daniel Malek (Alfrieda).
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Redeemer, 647 Reid Avenue; Lorain, Ohio. A private burial service with the immediate family will occur afterwards at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that gifts be made in memory of Lillian to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Lorain, 603 Washington Avenue, Lorain 44052 and Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110.
