Gloria J. Meade-Hall, 86, Avid reader and camper

She was born October 16, 1928 in Amherst and had resided in the Lorain area most of her life. During the past year, she lived with her daughter Carol in Huron.
Gloria graduated from Lorain High School in 1946. She worked as an insurance agent for Pappas Insurance Agency in Lorain. Gloria was an avid reader and enjoyed camping and meeting with her friends at AMVETS Post #47, American Legion #30, Moose Lodge and St. Lad’s Club, all of Lorain.
She is survived by her children Kenneth Roy Meade of Milan, Kurt A. Meade of Lorain and Carol Maddox (Scott) of Huron, stepchildren Paulette Polly Martin (James) of Galveston, TX, Ellen Rebok of Lorain, Karen Dee (Thomas) of Strongsville, Alan Hall (Alana) of Lorain and Bryan Hall (Betty) of Wake Forest, NC, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and sister Lois Bebout (Don) of San Antonio, TX.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Stumber Meade, second husband Arnold E. Hall on February 15, 2015, children Linda Meade Mortimer, John E. Meade, Jeffery W. Meade and Martha Meade Mays, grandchildren Angela Meade, Jeffery W. Meade Jr and Shawn Smith, father Henry Heinzerling, mother Ruth Heinzerling-Pappas (nee Gillett), stepfather John J. Pappas and brothers Ted & Don Heinzerling.
The family will receive friends Friday 5-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain where a memorial service will be conducted Friday at 7:00 pm. Sister Alex Justavich, chaplain at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain, will officiate.
