Clara Garcia, 75, Church Deacon
Clara Garcia, 75, of Lorain, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 17, 2015 in her home surrounded by her family.
She was born August 11, 1939 in Duey De Yauco, Puerto Rico. She came to Lorain where she resided for many years.
Clara was a member of Templo Emmanuel Assembly of God, Lorain, where she was a deacon (diaconisa) of the church. She loved music and singing.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters Elizabeth Garcia of Denver, Colorado, Loida Garcia – Brennan of Laurel, MD., Beatriz (Julio) Rivera and Sarai Turner both of Lorain, Abigail (John) Bishop of Corona, CA,; Sons David (Maria) Garcia of Long Beach, CA, Neftali Garcia of Myrtle Beach, SC, and William (Courtney) Garcia of Hendersonville, TN. Sisters, Aida Rodriguez of Colorado Springs, CO, Diana (Richard) Vera of Lake Elsinore, CA. Brothers, Pedro (Maria) Caraballo of Las Vegas, NV and Antonio (Margarita) Caraballo of Irving, TX; 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Guillermo Garcia in 2011 and her parents Anastacio and Antonia Caraballo.
Her family will receive friends at Templo Emmanuel Assembly of God, 4230 Clinton Avenue, Lorain, Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Her funeral service will be Friday at 10 AM at the church. Pastor Pedro L. Negron will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
