Martha J. Kucbel, 67, Loving Mother & Member of St. Mary Catholic Church

She was born March 1, 1948 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.

Marti worked as a Deli Clerk at Super Kmart in Lorain for the past 5 years. Previously, she worked at Central Bank & Trust and First Federal Savings and Loan, both in Lorain.

Marti was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Lorain. She enjoyed baking, gardening, bingo and watching old movies and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.

She is survived by her sons Jason R. Kucbel of Lorain and Ryan J. Kucbel (companion Audra Woods) of Canal Winchester, sister Patricia L. Lauren of Lorain, father-in-law Dr Robert Bonin of Lorain and sister-in-laws Anna Barno of Lorain and Bea Barno of Redding, CA. She was preceded in death by an infant son Matthew Kucbel in 1977, parents Bert Barno & Elsie Barno Bonin (nee Irwin) and brothers Robert B. Barno and Norman C. Barno.

The family will receive friends Friday 6-9 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. A funeral mass will be held Saturday at 10:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 310 8th St, Lorain. (please meet at the church). The Rev. Daniel O. Divis, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain at a later date.
