Arlene M. Sidlovsky, 76, Enjoyed crocheting and working with ceramics

Mrs. Sidlovsky was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on May 4, 1938 and had been a resident of Lorain since 1963; she had previously resided in Amherst.
Arlene was a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church and formerly sang with the church choir. In her free time she enjoyed crocheting and working with ceramics. Additional interests included league bowling and watching soap operas with a special fondness for the Young and the Restless.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years Lawrence, by sons John (Susan) Sidlovsky of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Steven Sidlovsky of San Diego, California, and Leonard J. Sidlovsky of Lorain, as well as her daughter Michelle (Vincent M.) Amato of Elyria. Arlene also leaves eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and her cousin Beverly (William) Gorman of Pittsburgh.
She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Elizabeth Yaremko.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Wednesday beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel; a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church (corner of West 8th Street and Reid Avenue). Reverend Daniel O. Divis, pastor of the parish will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial contributions to the St. Mary Food Pantry.
