Raymond Ramos, 69, Loved To Be With Family

Photo of Raymond Ramos Raymond “Junebug” Ramos, 69, of Lorain, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain following a sudden illness.

He was born in Guanica, Puerto Rico on December 13, 1945. He came to Lorain when he was four years old. Those who knew him knew that this man was unique in his own ways. Raymond found no wrong in anyone and loved everyone he came in contact with him. He would help anyone he could. He loved to be with his family, who adored him. Raymond was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, son, nephew, cousin, and friend. He loved to serve others more than anything else in this world.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Christina (née Nieves) Ramos of 47 years, children Helen Sanchez, Hector Sanchez Ramos (Sandy), Pauline (Samuel) Collazo, Maria Christina Ramos, Raymond (Karrie) Ramos, Jr., all from Lorain; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; sisters Josephina (Wayne) Nardillo of Maryland, Nicksa (Domingo) Ortiz, Elizabeth (Freddie) Pagan of Lorain. Gregoria Ramos of Tampa, FL, Lourdes Ramos and Carmen Ramos of Puerto Rico.

Raymond was preceded in death by his mother Pauline (Garcia) Pagan, step-father Julio Pagan, brother Ricardo Pagan, and grandson Tyler “Tyty”.

His family will receive friends on Monday at La Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal “Ebenezer” 3660 Globe Ave, Lorain, from 5 PM until the service at 7 PM. His funeral service will be Tuesday at 10 AM. Pastor William Rios will officiate. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
