Jane E. Meadows, 79, Was founding member and past president of the Redeemer Guild

Photo of Jane E. Meadows Jane E. Meadows, 79, (nee Shepherd) of Lorain passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 in the Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake following a long illness.

Mrs. Meadows was born in Sandusky on April 22, 1935, the daughter of the late Russell F. and Gertrude J (nee Viall) Shepherd. She was a graduate of Lorain High School Class of 1953-B: where she was a member of the National Honor Society.

She was a devoted member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Lorain, serving in several capacities including being a choir member, funeral luncheon committee, Sunday School teacher and the Endowment Committee. She also was founding member and past president of the Redeemer Guild.

Prior to starting her family, she worked as a bank teller and bookkeeper at the former Central Bank Company in Lorain.

Mrs. Meadows also was past president of Wimodaughsis.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years Bruce E. Meadows, daughter Kathryn J. (Kevin) Kast of Port Clinton, son David S Meadows of Vermilion, grandchildren, Courtney Kast and Steven Kast.

Friends may call Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the Church of the Redeemer, 647 Reid Ave., Lorain, with Rev. Mary Carson, Rector, officiating.

Burial will be in the Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
