Dorothy Maryak, 89, Loving Homemaker and Mother

Photo of Dorothy Maryak Dorothy Maryak (née Kudiak), 89, of Sheffield Village, passed away Sunday., February 1, 2015 in Ames family Hospice, Westlake.

She was born March 4, 1925 In Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania. She came to Lorain in 1948 and then moved to Sheffield Village in 1962. Dorothy was a loving homemaker and mother. She was dedicated to taking care of her family. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, gardening and her dogs. The love of her life was her family and friends.

She will be deeply missed by her daughters Julie (Don) Margolis of Amherst and Dr. Debra Martin, PHD of Boulder City, Nevada; brother Emil Kudiak of Sandy Lake; sisters Mary Durnell of Lorain and Alice (John) Hoffer of Girard; her grandchildren Deborah Margolis of Greenville, South Carolina and Michael (Stacy) Margolis of Tulsa, Oklahoma and her great grandchildren Annabel and Max Margolis.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband John Maryak and her parents Michael and Anna (née Steckle) Kudiak and two brothers and four sisters.

A memorial service will be planned for this summer in Pennsylvania.
