Rose Locko, 89, Enjoyed Rose Gardening
Rose Locko (nee Kosanovich), 89, of Lorain, died Saturday January 10, 2015 at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center after a short illness.
She was born November 5, 1925 in Steubenville, Ohio and had resided in Lorain most of her life.
Rose worked at National Tube in Lorain as a cashier in the cafeteria. She was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Lorain. She enjoyed rose gardening.
She is survived by her children Roseann Watson (John) of Palm Bay, Florida and John Locko (Carrie) of Lorain, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband John J. Locko in 1986, parents Maksim & Catherine Kosanovich (nee Wulitich), sisters Barbara Kosanovich, Mary Guerrieri and Mildred Kowalczyk and brothers Milio “Casey” Kosanovich and Sam Kosonovich.
The family will receive friends Wednesday 4-7 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am in the funeral chapel. The Rev. Bosko Stojanovic, pastor of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
